Foam Inlays

Foam Inlays

Foam inlays are foam interiors with custom cutouts, so that each product has a fixed place. They prevent sliding, help to limit damage and make it visible at a glance whether everything is complete. Ideal for cases, sets and presentations where overview and protection are important.

What is a foam inlay?

A foam inlay is a precisely cut foam layer that is placed in a case or packaging. The cutouts are tailored to the shape of your products, so that they are firmly in place and remain protected. Foam inlays are often used in service cases, demo and presentation cases, tool cases and logistical packaging.

Advantages of foam inlays

A well-designed foam inlay provides direct practical benefits:

  • Protection: less chance of damage from impact or movement.
  • Overview: each part has a fixed position, so faster working.
  • Completeness check: missing parts are immediately noticeable.
  • Tidiness and appearance: professional and consistent in use and presentation.

Different types of foam inlays

Several variants are available, depending on the use and type of product:

  • Hard foam inlays for stable support and tight fit.
  • Soft foam inlays for extra cushioning for fragile products.
  • Open-cell foam for resilience and comfortable daily use.
  • ESD-safe foam for components that are sensitive to static discharge.
  • Tool foam inlays for a fixed layout and quick check for completeness.

What do you pay attention to when choosing?

The right foam inlay depends on your product, weight, vulnerability and how often the set is used. Factors such as desired appearance (e.g. color contrasts), grip/finger cutouts and layer structure also play a role. By tailoring the inlay to the practice, the case is not only safer, but also faster and more efficient in use.

Do you have a question about our working method, customization or a visit to your location? Below you will find the answers to frequently asked questions. If your question is not listed, please feel free to contact us.

What do you need to provide a quotation?

To prepare a quotation, it is helpful if you can provide photos, dimensions, quantities, and (if available) technical drawings of your product(s). Don’t have all the information? No problem! We will then explore the possibilities together.

Do you visit on location?

Yes. We are happy to visit your location for packaging and transport issues. This allows us to get a good understanding of your process, products, and environment. Based on this, we can contribute targeted ideas and propose a customized solution that truly fits your situation.

Can you help me think about the specific design?

Sure! Many clients come to us with a challenge rather than a fully developed design. We are happy to help you find the right case, flight case, pallet, or foam inlay and work with you to develop it into a concrete proposal.

Do you also deliver small series or individual pieces?

We do not deliver individual pieces. However, we can deliver small series. Depending on your application and quantities, we will coordinate the design and approach with you.
